Peaceful House Share

Hello,

We have a room available to let at Kadampa Meditation Centre Leeds in Oakwood. We are just a 5 minute walk from the beautiful Roundhay Park and within minutes of local shops, restaurants and public transport.

We are a Buddhist community and we currently have 14 people living in the house with 2 kitchens, a large lounge dining area, sun room and a large garden. Our housemates are of mixed gender and of different ages and professions.

It's a pleasant environment here and a peaceful and friendly community.

Included in the rent is access to all the classes and meditation courses so it's a wonderful opportunity for those interested in meditation, or those who are thinking about taking their existing practice deeper and finding out more about Buddhism.

In order to keep a peaceful environment and keep to the Buddhist way of life we have some rules in the house including only vegetarian food allowed to be stored or consumed, no alcohol or intoxicants (coffee is allowed! :D), and no audible T. V. or music.

There are also some cleaning commitments that all residents keep on a weekly basis and we also ask the residents to contribute about 1-2 hours per week to the running of the centre too, ideally.

Its a lovely, happy environment to live in and the community here is harmonious and gets on well.
