Description
Hi Spareroom!
I have a room available in my house ideally from 01 January 2025 but I can be flexible where needed. I have had a lodger before who had to move back down South and since then, I have been enjoying having the house to myself for a little bit so the room is currently empty!
THE HOUSE:
It's an end-terrace, new-build property about a 5-10 minute walk to the train station which has direct routes to both Leeds and York in under 20 minutes. You would also have your own off-road parking space if you drive.
Your room is a fully-furnished double room at the front of the house with plenty of storage. There's shared coat and shoe storage in the lounge and I'm happy to share kitchen equipment if you'd prefer as cupboard space is a little limited!
The council tax band is Band C, but all bills (including gas, electricity, wifi, TV licence, etc.) are included in your rent.
ABOUT ME:
I'm a 27-year old civil servant, currently completing a part-time degree alongside work, so I spend a fair amount of time studying at the moment. I have exams in December. January, April and May and then I am done for good and cannot wait for the freedom!
I work from home 3-4 days per week and due to the nature of my work, I can't share my office, so someone who works outside of the house in the day is ideal but not a dealbreaker.
In the evenings, I tend to sit in the lounge watching TV, which you are more than welcome to join in on! I love baking when I have the time, and I'd also like to get back into going to the gym (encouragement appreciated).
ABOUT YOU:
I would prefer a female housemate due to the fact we will be sharing living spaces and bathrooms.
I'd like someone who is clean and tidy as I take pride in my house! I'm slowly putting my personal spin on the blank canvas so someone who doesn't mind the smell of paint is probably also ideal 😂 I'm looking for a lodger who is open to chatting and socialising, but who also appreciates that I do sometimes need my own space to re-charge. Similarly, I understand you may need the same!
I'd also need someone who's fine with animals as I occasionally dogsit for my parents' / friends' dogs and would like to get my own little pup once exams are over!
If you have any questions or think you might be a good fit, please drop me a message and we can have a chat 😊 it's really important to me that we get along and so I'd like to meet a few times before agreeing to anything to make sure we're both happy living together!
