A Warm, Friendly Home

This is a large double attic room in an Edwardian semi-detached house with stripped floorboards, wooden beam and a lot of character. It's recently been redecorated along with the adjoining staircase so there's a fresh and bright atmosphere. There's a comfortable double bed, a double wardrobe, two large chests of drawers, a desk and a swivel desk chair. It's worth pointing out (as previous tenants have done) that the photos don't capture the spaciousness of the room.

The house is on a quiet street with great, friendly neighbours. It is only 150m from bus stops with very regular services to Leeds train station and has excellent access to the M621 for car drivers. There's a large kitchen with everything you might need, a large, bright living room and a spacious bathroom - plenty of space for people to enjoy communal living but also have their own independence as needed.

There's two of us living in the house (coincidentally, both lecturers at the university) and we're just looking for one extra person who has a similar outlook and will appreciate and contribute to the relaxed, cooperative atmosphere in the house. We are both busy professionals with lots of outside interests. In the house, we are quite independent but enjoy good conversation and occasional meals together. There is positivity and trust. I (the home owner) practise yoga and meditation, travel and study languages. The other housemate also travels quite a lot (for work and pleasure), and enjoys sport (principally tennis and cycling).

So, we're looking for someone who is considerate of the needs of others, celebrates diversity, enjoys social interaction, is tidy and who will contribute to the positive atmosphere in the house. If that sounds like you, then we look forward to hearing from you.

The rent includes all bills (council tax, water, gas, electricity, Internet) up to a reasonable amount of energy usage.
