Large double room available to rent in a professional household.

The room: Available with king size bed with king size mattress topper over two single mattresses. Can be removed if preferred. Plenty of room for drawers for storage. One window with south facing aspect.

The house: 2 double bedroom property that is one of eight converted stables. Comes with a large shared living room, a shared kitchen, a shared bathroom, a large south-facing garden and off-street parking. The bathroom is being renovated in mid September, hence no photos. It will have a bath and over-bath shower, as well as toilet and sink. There is no second toilet. There is a washing machine, and although no dishwasher currently, I am happy to get one for when you move in.

The location: Tucked away in a peaceful location, in the picturesque and community-focused village of Chitterne. The property backs onto footpaths that lead up onto Salisbury Plain, which is ideal for hiking or cross-country biking. The village pub is currently closed, however it is in the process of being purchased by the community so should be open before the end of the year.

The city of Salisbury is nearby, as are Devizes and Warminster, with Warminster train station only 15 minutes drive away for travel to Bath, Bristol, Southampton and London.

The housemate (me!): I have two dogs, Teddy & Otto, who I have 50% of the time. I enjoy being active, cooking and eating healthily, being outside, trying to turn the garden into something half-decent, and when I need to switch off, watching films and sport. I'm also in the midst of a career change, training to become a Chartered Accountant, so exams are a part of my life for the next two years.

The small print: The room is available from 26th August, however, with the bathroom being renovated from the 9th to 20th September, the property won't be habitable during that time, hence the 21st September as the listed available from date. Bills (Council Tax (Band C), Electricity, Water, Broadband are extra and to be split 50%/50%, or 33%/66% if couple.) You would need to sign the Tenancy Agreement so that we would be Joint Tenants. As such, referencing and credit checks will be performed by the Letting Agents before the tenancy can be approved.
