five minutes drive (or 20 mins cross-country walk) from Cricklade, the property is surrounded by acres of fields, lakes and birdlife in the stunning Cotswold Water Park. The annex is on the second floor of our family home and offers wonderful inside and outside space with beautiful rural views.
Accessed by an enclosed private staircase from the first floor, the stairs open onto a generous landing with a fold down bureau desk and chair which could be used as an office space.
The extremely spacious 300sq ft room includes a kitchenette complete with counter top units and drawers, fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster and double ring electric hob. There is a dining table and two chairs, a lounge area with sofa, armchair, coffee table, and a TV cable for terrestrial TV.
inbuilt hanging closet and shelves, plus separate chest of drawers.
Double bed with side tables and lamps, and a single bed for occasional guests (by agreement).
En suite private bathroom with bath and shower (shower currently being installed - hence 1st June start date)
The space is particularly suited to an individual who is familiar with period buildings and rural living, and who enjoys walks/outdoor pursuits and being surrounded by nature, but within a family setting (we have two boys – six and seven, a calm, mature Spaniel and a few farm cats). Although the house is a very short walk from the Thames Walking Trail and various national cycle routes, a car is vital.
Cost is inclusive of council tax (band F), heat, water, electricity and Starlink WIFI, easy access to laundry facilities on the ground floor, parking and cleaning of communal areas.
A huge bonus is designated private outdoor space overlooking a field for a table/chairs and summer BBQs.
