Room in country cottage

Double room available in a country cottage with 2 other (female) housemates, due to a housemate moving out. Available from November. Room currently only has wardrobe and bedframe, no mattress. You are welcome to have the room unfurnished if you want to bring your own. Potential earlier move into the spare room (temporarily) for the right person if necessary.

On a quiet country lane, good size garden, shared kitchen, dining/living room and bathroom, with a spare room (guests welcome with notice given☺️). Large American-style fridge in the kitchen for shared use with one other housemate (I have my own fridge) but the freezer is shared. Dishwasher, washing machine and all kitchen appliances (except airfryer) are communal. Bathtub with electric shower.

Due to the location, you will need your own car - there is no public transport (or anything else for that matter, except a pub and a church!) within walking distance - but the walks from doorstep are scenic, only a short walk on the road to footpaths that run through fields and past the river Avon.

Malmesbury is a 5-10 min drive, there’s a Co-Op, Waitrose and Aldi, some nice restaurants and a few essentials stores, but it is a small town. Chippenham is the closest larger town - about 20 mins drive. Bristol and Bath around 45 mins drive. The closest stations are Chippenham (direct to London Paddington) or Kemble.

I (F, 28) am on the ground floor. I have a cat and dog (both are very small and friendly, but you will need to animal-friendly) and work from home. Other housemate (F, 30) has guinea pigs (kept in her room).
Caged pets welcome, a dog-savvy cat would be considered (with the right introductions) but my cat can be very nervous of other animals so I don’t want to make her uncomfortable!

£600pcm, payable on the 1st of the month, includes rent and monthly bills (electric, council tax, broadband, water). Heating oil is generally purchased once a year (depending on usage, heating is turned off from March-November ish, hot water is on for a few hours a day AM/PM year-round) and paid separately, depending on current oil prices.

Women/NB preferred and no couples please.

There is plenty of parking on the road.
