***No smoking at all in the house. The sheltered area outside can be used. So I don’t mind smokers as long as they respect this rule***.
I’m currently redecorating my house as current house mate is moving out. It’s a detached 3 bedroom house (3 double rooms). My plan is to use the smaller one as a base for my stuff as I go off travelling intermittently to different parts of the world for at least 12 months but possibly a lot longer. As such I am looking for two people who already know each other to take responsibility of my house. Or just one person if they can pay for both rooms. I have family in the local area if any issues arise when I’m away. Everything is currently being serviced so there will be nothing to go wrong. I was a high school teacher for 21 years (Geography) and have switched to supply work as and when I need it.
I will start uploading photos as the work in my house gets completed. Upstairs I have 3 double rooms and a bathroom with bath and shower (gas combi boiler). Downstairs there is a kitchen, utility room with tumble dryer, washing machine, toilet and sink. A living room and dining room on the back of the house leading to rear outside area (upper is fake grass partly under a large fixed clear canopy with outdoor seating and table) three steps down to a large patio area.
The rear outdoor area is south facing so a sun trap!!! It is nice and private too. Feel free to add your own tubs of plants or flowers if you wanted.
Central heating is gas. All appliances in the kitchen are electric. Recently had a smart meter fitted.
Kitchen has a cat flap. My cat is now in heaven so your cat in the house would not be a problem.
I have a separate large garage with some storage space and a lean-to canopy down the side of my house for more storage.
Front of house has off-street parking. Space for a large car and a small car. But the street is quiet so lots of space to park just outside.
Location is excellent. Two pubs a few minutes walk away, golf club a walk away, chippy a 5 minute walk, plenty of fields within walking distance. 15 minute walk into Bewdley town centre. Greats pubs and restaurants by the River Severn. West Midlands safari park is also walkable (about 20 minutes). You can also cycle or walk to the Wyre Forest which is about 3 miles away.
I would be looking for a minimum 12 months for the house to be occupied. Ideally longer.
At the moment I’m just trying to find out if anyone is interested then they may wish to visit in the next few weeks as I get the place carpeted and painted etc. My insurance provider has already been informed so contents etc is covered, including your stuff.
Great opportunity for 2 people who know each other or a couple to basically have the whole house to themselves for extended periods of time. Or one person to pay for both rooms and have the house to themselves for most of the time..
Completely flexible if you wanted to move in any of your own furniture or make adjustments to room layouts etc..
I’m an easy going person. As long as stuff is kept pretty clean and you don’t annoy my nice neighbours it’s all good!
