Description
A cosy private bedroom with a comfortable sofa and dining area, large wardrobe/storage area and a private compact shower room with a basin and toilet. Plus a shared kitchen. It’s situated within mine and my wife’s Victorian end terrace cottage in Bromsgrove, Worcestershire and is steeped in its 200 year history. The room provides compact but stylish accommodation for one person. There’s a traditional, log fire pub just four doors up and a fine dining Gastropub, restaurant a three minute walk away. Although next to a main road, there’s a park opposite and surrounding countryside. Please note that although the kitchen is a shared area due to us needing regular access to our boiler, the bedroom/living area and the shower room is private.
We are renting the room out fully furnished. You can enjoy cosy nights in with everything you need in one place, including a fabulous Philips Ambilight TV which floods the room and wall behind with colours that perfectly match the on-screen action, making movies feel bigger, more cinematic, and truly immersive! with Netflix and many other entertainment streaming options, you can safely log in to your own subscriptions, there's also mainstream TV via a Sky box.
The room consists of a combined bedroom/living room, a small dining table with seating (this is also ideal as a desk), a separate shared kitchen with an oven, gas hob, microwave etc and everything you need to cook a meal. Take away menus are also provided, which can be delivered direct to the door. There's a full size fridge freezer and a good selection of glassware, from champagne saucers to pint glasses.
There’s a very comfortable bed, along with a large three rail wardrobe with plenty of space to hang or fold your clothes, an iron, ironing board and a hair dryer, it’s also an ideal storage area as there’s quite a lot of space at the back. The two front windows allow plenty of light into the bedroom.
The bathroom consists of a small en-suite shower room, with a compact shower cubicle, sink and toilet. There is a heated towel rail so you can enjoy warm towels and a large mirror. There’s also a full height dress mirror in the lounge.
The property is close to the main road. We have recently installed new fully sealed double glazed windows, vertical blinds and curtains to reduce noise as much as possible during busy times.
Heating is via the central heating radiators. The gas fire in the now fully refurbished period fireplace has been deactivated for safety reasons.
There is no washing machine so we will provide clean towels and clean bed linen once a week.
The lodger agreement will be a 3 month signed agreement to start with. This may be renewed again if agreed to by both parties.
