Lovely Double Room in Calm Victorian Home – Worcester – £625 incl. bills

A fully furnished double room is available from the end of May in my lovely two-bedroom Victorian semi, around a 15-minute walk into Worcester city centre, 10 minutes to Worcester Shrub Hill station, and 2 minutes from a Co-op.

This would suit someone looking for a calm, comfortable home rather than a busy houseshare. You’d be sharing with just one other person – me, the homeowner – and my very friendly little chihuahua, who mostly just lets us know when someone is at the door ☺️

The room
A bright, fully furnished double room for single occupancy only, including:

• Double bed with brand new mattress
• Chest of drawers and bedside lamp
• Wall-mounted clothes rail
• Blackout curtains and blind
• New carpets

The house
A comfortable, relaxed home with shared use of:

• Newly fitted bathroom (shared with me) plus downstairs WC
• Kitchen with dishwasher
• Cosy sitting room and dining/reception room overlooking the garden
• Garden for shared use
• Parking available
• Some loft storage if needed

You’ll have full use of the shared spaces, furniture and household equipment.

About the home
I work quite a lot and enjoy keeping the house peaceful, relaxed and homely. I’ve shared with others for years, both in the UK and while living abroad, and value a respectful, easygoing atmosphere where everyone feels comfortable in the space.

I’m into yoga, travel, nature, reading, interiors, art/design and fitness (among many other things!).

I’m looking for someone friendly, considerate and naturally tidy, who appreciates a calm home and cleans up after themselves. This isn’t a party house, but it’s friendly, warm and relaxed.

A few practical bits
• Best suited to someone with a daytime work routine
• Working from home is absolutely fine, although this would need to be from your room as there isn’t space for a separate desk setup elsewhere in the house
• A small, fully house-trained and non-destructive dog may be considered if they got on with my dog

Deposit: £630

Initially looking for a three-month arrangement to see how things go, with the option to extend if it’s a good fit for both of us.

A written lodger agreement will be provided, and references from an employer and/or previous landlord will be requested.
