How do you tell a fantastic house from a not so good one - here is our quick checklist
1) how big is the outside of the house - this will give you a really good indication of how large the bedrooms will be
2) look closely at the quality of the furniture and fittings in the bedroom, kitchen and bathroom. It is flat pack Ikea or proper solid oak? Does the kitchen look like all the others or is it a bit special with quality soft close handle-less doors? what about the worktops - are they granite, solid wood or plastic covered chip-board?
3) Are you encouraged / allowed to meet the other housemates?
4) Is there a video of the house to look at together with a floor plan of each room with dimensions?
5) How fast is the wifi and how is to managed to ensure when you are working from home you don't have any issues?
6) What is the cleaning service for communal areas and how often?
7) parking? is there any and where is it?
8) personal space. Are you allocated enough personal space in the kitchen, and bathroom for everything you need? Is there enough storage in your room?
8) Does the bedroom have enough storage for all your clothes and other personal items so it feels like home.

Space is the ultimate luxury, so we have ensured that all our houses are not only luxurious, but also large and complete with period charm. All our bedrooms are double sized and fitted out with beautiful solid oak furniture.

We provide much more than accommodation; we match likeminded professionals so that you move into a home with people you know you will have a lot in common with, so you can make friends easily (all our tenants are hand-picked and we don't use agencies, and when you view you get to meet the housemates and us). You can socialise, just pass a pleasant half hour over a cuppa or glass of wine, watch some Netflix (or one of 30 channels other subscription channels) on the wall mounted 43” Sky Glass Qled Ultra 4K TV together in the lovely kitchen/living room.

This is a really social house with those living here becoming firm friends. The reason we have two rooms available is because Ella and Susy who met when they moved in are now looking for a place of their own. Many of our previous housemates still meet up regularly. Once you have signed up you will have the opportunity to vet for yourself all future housemates.

About the house in more detail...

The large shared kitchen living room includes a granite worktop as well as a polished solid oak worktop, contemporary soft-close mushroom coloured, handle-less doors and a tap that produces instant boiling water, so there’s no need for a kettle. There is a wall mounted 43” Sky Glass Qled Ultra 4K TV so you can watch a load of subscription channels including Sky Atlantic and Netflix when you cook or relax on the soft leather John Lewis chairs. The kitchen comes with all you would expect to see in a property of this quality and size such as two stylish black glass hobs (one gas, one electric), two stainless steel electric fan ovens, a microwave oven, toaster and a hot tap that delivers boiling water (no need for a kettle - did we mention this already....). We provide ample personal allocated space in fridge, freezer and cupboards as well as Miele washing machine and a tumble dryer.

The bedrooms are furnished with contemporary solid oak furniture with double beds (we replace mattresses every 2-3 years), chest of drawers, desk, bookcase, double wardrobe and most have a sink too. We ensure you have enough storage space in your room, along with conveniently placed charging and electrical points, so you can make you room into your home.

Gas central heating with ultra-modern home smart technology is provided throughout the house and there is a large shared garden to the rear with a south facing 24m2 decked area.

There are two bathrooms, both with power showers, and both have been lavishly renovated (plus an additional separate toilet). We provide everything that you need from quality pots and pans down to wine glasses, bin bags and light bulbs. All you need to bring with you is your bedding, clothes and technology.

Rent is inclusive of bills (gas, electricity, council tax, water rates and a weekly cleaner - we require a supplement for gas and electricity over the winter months as well as a contribution towards the washing machine and dryer). We have a cleaner who cleans all communal areas weekly. Of course we also provide blisteringly fast 1000Mb wifi broadband served over a Mesh network offering wifi 6, which comes free to all our tenants. This Mesh system can be monitored remotely and we guarantee you will also have fantastic wifi wherever you are in the housue.

Located on the Basingstoke Road (near the top) this property is 10 -15 mins walk from Oracle / Town Centre and on the major bus route into and out of Reading town centre (bus stop 100 yards away - nos 4, 5 & 6).
