My flatmate’s planning to move out around January, so I’m looking for someone to take over their room in our bright, modern 2-bed flat in East Village, Stratford. There’s some flexibility on the move-in date if needed.
🏡 About the flat
It’s a Get Living-managed apartment, no deposit, just a credit check before being added to the lease. The tenancy runs on a 36-month contract with a standard 2-month break clause, so you can leave anytime with notice and hopefully we could find a replacement
The flat’s spacious, well laid out, and in great condition:
Open-plan kitchen and living room (dishwasher, big fridge/freezer, washer/dryer)
Floor-to-ceiling windows with plenty of natural light
You’d have the main bathroom to yourself, as I have the en-suite
Balcony with city views
Secure bike storage in the building

In the heart of East Village — clean, green, and well connected:
3 mins to Stratford International (DLR & High Speed)
10–12 mins to Stratford Station (Central, Jubilee, Overground, National Rail)
Short walk to Westfield, the Olympic Park, and plenty of cafés, restaurants, and gyms
💰 Rent & bills
Rent is £1,255 pcm. Bills are split roughly as follows:
Energy £30
Electricity £20
Water £20
Council Tax £75
≈ £145 per month each in total.
The rent’s cheaper than current market rates — I’ve been here a while and the contract’s stayed below newer listings.

I’m Alan, early 30s, a software engineer working mostly from the office. I’m tidy, easy-going, and fairly low-key during the week — usually at work, the gym, or cooking in the evenings. Looking for someone similar: friendly, considerate, and easy to live with.

Flexible — ideally around the first week of January but can shift slightly earlier or later.
