Furnished room for lodger in cosy Twickenham house

I am a secondary school English teacher looking for a professional housemate to rent the spare room in my two bedroom house in Twickenham. I have an adorable and friendly cat so liking (or at least being willing to tolerate) cats is essential!

The room is not huge, but comes furnished with a bed, desk/chair, wardrobe, small chest of drawers and shelves. The house is cosy and homely, including a large, comfortable living/dining room with a working fireplace. The street is a dead end, so is very quiet, and there is a good sense of community. Parking is available on the street but you would need to register for a parking permit (I have some visitors' permits you could use until it arrives).

The area is lovely - the house is a short (5 minute) walk to Twickenham Green, where there are several nice pubs, and a similar distance from Twickenham High Street's shops and restaurants. You can walk to Twickenham Station in less than 15 minutes, getting a train into central London from there takes 20-30 minutes, and you can also get buses easily to surrounding areas such as Richmond, Teddington and Kingston.

I would prefer a housemate who is interested in friendship and companionable living, such as chatting, watching films, going for drinks and cooking/eating together. Ideally I would like to live with someone who is fairly laid-back and who shares some of my interests, such as books, films and cooking . It is a small house where a lot can be heard (!) so although it is fine to have the occasional guest overnight, I would prefer to live with someone who does not want to invite guests to stay really regularly.

My current housemate is aiming to move out either at the end of May or sometime in June but the date is currently TBC. Pets-wise, I am open to cats (as long as they get on with mine) but no dogs please. Please contact me if you are interested in arranging a viewing.
