Non-binary professional seeks room

I am a non-binary person (not female or male) doing a 1 year post-doc (this is a research JOB, I am NOT a student) at nottingham uni (UoN - university park campus) looking for a room or apartment with a pleasant and convenient public transport/cycling or walking commute (beeston/dunkirk/lenton/city centre/sneinton/or slightly further on a direct tram/bus route). I'm a physicist doing experimental research on rotating systems that explores how gravitational and quantum effects might combine.

I would prefer a move in date at the end of July/start of August. I am looking for something for around a year. (i have a 1 year job contract, this might get extended) A rough budget of 450pcm for a room in a shared house, more if living alone. In total including bills & council tax I could go up to around £650pcm but would prefer something less than £550.

I am a tidy and quiet housemate, non-smoker. Queer folks + vegetarians/vegans to share with preferred but not required, just because i am asexual and vegetarian myself. Pets are fine, cats are a bonus. An arty + crafty household would be ideal. I like to draw and paint (especially when travelling) as well as go to the cinema.
Keen to make the most of my time in Notts - going to events in the city, being social etc
