Episode 1 - Stacey Dooley
Stacey is a presenter, journalist and author who’s made over 90 documentaries since starring in ‘Blood, Sweat and T-shirts’ in 2008. She’s also the S16 ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ champion.
We sit down with Stacey and find out what home means to her.
Meet the hosts
Matt
Matt is SpareRoom’s Communications Director and he’s been our key media spokesperson since 2007. If you’ve seen an article or news segment on renting in the past two decades, there’s a good chance Matt will be in it.
Matt’s a northerner by birth, but has lived in London now for so long it feels like home, although home is really wherever Katy and Fred are (and preferably it has room for a few guitars). Matt also hosts the award-winning music podcast Bluegrass Jam Along.
Ella
Ella joined the communications team at SpareRoom in 2023 after moving to London with a flatmate (turned best friend) that she met on the site. Now, Ella helps the team across socials and PR, putting her years of flatsharing to use.
For Ella, somewhere doesn't feel like home until there's a jar of Marmite in the cupboard - you can't beat tea, toast and a good TV series, along with the right people to share it, of course.
