Would like to live part-time in Fort William area

I currently live near Glasgow, and am looking for an accommodation arrangement in Fort William (or surrounding area) that would suit me sharing my time between both places, coming and going as my mood or as the weather dictates. I'd prefer no lease, or a short-term one, with an option to extend if the situation is amenable.

I'm recently retired, and a keen hillwalker, so my time in Lochaber would be spent climbing hills and exploring the area -- I'd be out of the house/flat a lot in the daylight hours, especially during good weather.

I'm very tidy; my own space would, by default, be neat and clean, and I'm happy to share in keeping communal areas the same. In the kitchen, I'm more or less "wash up as you go."

I'm friendly, and enjoy good conversation, but also like to keep to myself. It wouldn't be unusual for me to stay in my room all evening, reading a book, or writing or watching TV, probably with a beer. I did list that as one of my interests, but it's usually only the one...sometimes two, if I'm feeling really wild!

I would like flat/housemates to be like-minded -- outdoorsy, respectful, quiet. No wild student parties for me, please, I'm well past that.
