Professional male seeks double room or annex

I'm a quiet, easygoing person looking for somewhere calm and peaceful to live. I work in Southampton, so I'm ideally looking for somewhere with an easy commute.

Because I work long, irregular shifts dealing with the general public, I really value having somewhere I can switch off at the end of the day. I'm friendly, but I'm looking for somewhere where everyone is happy to mostly keep themselves to themselves rather than somewhere with a very social house dynamic.

I'm clean, tidy and respectful of shared spaces. I also solemnly swear to always leave the toilet seat down.

My budget is ideally £500–£700 per month, although I'd be happy to spend a little more for an annexe, as the extra privacy would be well worth it. For context, I'm currently paying around £1,000 per month, but while it's lovely and very quiet, it's simply leaving me with too little money left over each month.

The one thing I can't compromise on is peace and quiet. It's by far my biggest priority, so I'd rather be upfront about that than commit to somewhere that turns out to be noisier than advertised.
