28yo professional seeks friendly South London flat

Hi! I’m Tom, a 28-year-old professional currently living and working in London, and I’m looking for a room in a friendly, welcoming flatshare. I’m ideally looking around South London, particularly Herne Hill, Brixton, Balham, Stockwell and the surrounding areas. I’ve been in my current house for the past two years and am sadly moving out as my landlord is moving back into the property. I’m hoping to find somewhere I can settle into and call home.


I work full-time in London and also teach at an art school on an ad hoc basis, so I’m usually out and about during the day rather than working from home. I’d describe myself as clean, considerate and respectful, and I like a house to feel homely rather than just somewhere everyone happens to sleep.


Outside of work, I’m quite social and enjoy spending time with friends, going to the gym, cooking, listening to music and visiting galleries and exhibitions. I’m vegetarian and enjoy cooking, and I’m always up for a chat in the kitchen, a shared dinner or the occasional pub trip, while appreciating that everyone has their own routines and lives.


I’m hoping to move around November, although I’m flexible and could move a little earlier or later for the right place.
