I am a 56-year-old male and have recently returned to the UK after spending 6 months in Thailand. My intention was to purchase a small business and relocate there permanently, but unfortunately things did not work out as planned, so I returned to the UK.
Please don’t let my age put you of as I am still very much young at heart and fit and healthy.
During my time away, I retained my rooms at my current property, where I have been a tenant since October 2025. Prior to that, I lived with my former partner at the same property for over 10 years, so I have a good history of stable tenancies
I am currently seeking employment as a Credit Controller. I want to move to Brighton or Manchester as more these locations are more suitable locations for employment in the finance industry, which is my primary profession and an area in which I have extensive experience. In the meantime, I can pay 2 months' rent in advance, together with the deposit, if that would provide reassurance and be acceptable to you. I will also be claiming Universal Credit.
I have savings to make up any shortfall in UC rent payment if I have not got a jb within the 2 months advance rent.
I am a relaxed, considerate and tidy person. I never go out heavy drinking but enjoy meeting friends for a quiet drink every couple of weeks, but I also I enjoy spending my evenings at home watching television, reading, or socialising with friends/housemates.
I am looking for somewhere comfortable, friendly and sociable person/persons to live with, and I would be a respectful and easy-going housemate. I would be happy to provide any further information or references you may require.
