40‑year‑old professional seeking double room or buddy up (Feb/Mar move)

Hi, I’m Gary (friends call me Gaz). I’m a 40‑year‑old professional currently working in the public sector and coaching fitness on the side. After a long relationship ended I’m ready for a fresh start and am looking for a double room or to buddy up with someone to rent a place from late February or early March.

I’m tidy, considerate and sociable. When I’m not working you’ll find me training for Hyrox competitions, going for a run or planning a travel adventure. I love a night out with friends as much as a cosy Netflix evening, and I’m respectful of people’s space and need for quiet time. Although I’m 40, I’m young at heart and get on well with people of all ages.

What I’m looking for
• Budget: between £700 and £1,100 pcm (plus bills).
• Move‑in date: ideally end of February/early March, but can be flexible.
• Location: anywhere with good train links. I’m open‑minded on area – the right people matter more than the postcode.
• Household vibe: non‑smokers preferred, pets welcome, and other professionals aged 25+. I’m part of the LGBTQ+ community and would feel at home in an LGBTQ+‑friendly household, though I’m happy to share with anyone who’s inclusive and easy‑going.
• Must‑haves: a double room, decent broadband, and housemates who like a clean living space and a chat now and again.

• Interests: running, CrossFit/Hyrox, travelling, Netflix, coffee, getting outdoors and being social. I’ll gladly drag you along to a park run or settle in for a movie night.
• Personality: easy‑going, supportive and up for a laugh, but I value boundaries and appreciate alone time too. I keep my living space tidy and promise not to leave my trainers lying around.
• Work: full‑time professional with regular hours in High Wycombe. I sometimes work from home but usually keep evenings free for training or catching up with friends.
