Mature Australian woman on sabbatical in London

Mature, independent, quietly friendly Australian woman coming to UK for a sabbatical year, seeking furnished lodgings from September 2026, ideally in the Dulwich or Herne Hill areas.

I will be doing some online work, part time study and part time exploring of London and the UK.

I would like to be in an established household, preferably with the home owner (single, couple or family). I am looking for a calm home environment, some gentle company, and would like enough space to set up a dedicated workstation in large bedroom or a separate space. Good, close transport options desirable and own bathroom would be a bonus.

About me: I am a psychologist by training, currently working in health research and moving into companioning and supervision. I am gentle, considerate, respectful, practical, organised, clean and tidy.

I will be home some days, out exploring many days, and expect to away exploring other areas of the UK for 1-2 weeks every 1-2 months, but I would like a stable London base. I have a close friend in Sydenham Hill and will be spending some time at her place. I will be abroad for most of November 2026.
