Description
Hi, I'm Ben. I'm originally from Watford/St. Albans in Hertfordshire, but I'm now looking to relocate to the wonderfully inclusive city of Brighton and Hove and find a comfortable home for the foreseeable future. I already have a couple of friends in the area and hope to expand my social life, get fitter and grow my business. Don't let my slaphead fool you, I can be a big kid at heart sometimes and I'm happy to share with people in their late 20s or thereabouts!
I'm self-employed developing my travel website, so I'd be based at home most days, but my work isn't restrictive or disruptive. I don't smoke, do drugs or drink alcohol. I'm clean, considerate, quiet and usually keep to myself, but also happy to chat, share a meal and join in with things if you ask me. My family might occasionally visit with my very cute little toy poodle, Teddy, but he won't be living with me.
I'm creative, a music lover and a travel creator with over a decade of solo travel experience. I'm also a decent batch-cooker and I'm proud of my slow-cooked veg-packed ragu, and my chicken and chickpea curry recipes. I'm a bit geeky as well, mainly a Sonic fan, and I enjoy the odd gaming sesh. I usually play online with friends over Discord on Tuesday evenings. I also enjoy exploring the city, wide open nature spaces with big views, eating out, going to the cinema, and I'm looking forward to adding "being by the sea" to that list! I wanna try new activities in Brighton, too.
I'm looking for a large double room, studio or 1-bed flat that will accommodate a double bed, wardrobe and drawers, (these may already be provided by the room, but I'd prefer my own mattress) - as well as my sit-stand desk and office chair which I'll be bringing, with a comfortable amount of floorspace left over, preferably with an en-suite. I have a small car which I'll need to park on the street with a permit from the council. Ideally I would like to live in central Hove, near the sea or Aldrington/Poet's Corner. I would also consider Seven Dials. My top budget is £1000pcm exc. bills but obviously the lower the better!
I have a deposit and guarantor ready to go and I'm available to move pretty much whenever, with 3-4 weeks notice so I can pack and arrange. I do need full-fibre broadband or Virgin Media to be available, (happy to help pay for an upgrade.) Smokers or any kind of drug/weed users are a dealbreaker for me as I can't stand the smell, sorry.
Please note that for reasons beyond my control, I do need an Assured Periodic Tenancy, I'm unable to consider a lodging license.
If I sound like a good fit for you or if you have any questions, please get in touch. There are no silly questions but there might be silly answers. ;P I hope to hear from you soon!
(No I didn't write this with Chat GPT! 🤪)
