Japanese professional looking for a room

Hi! I’m Keiko, 22, from Japan, and I’m moving to Manchester around 5 October under the Youth Mobility Scheme.

I’ve recently graduated from Monash University Malaysia and currently work remotely with an early-stage Japanese startup, where I’ve been part of the team since its founding phase. I’ll continue this work after moving to the UK, so I’ll have ongoing income, while also looking for a full-time role in Manchester.

I’m looking for a clean, comfortable room in a friendly and relaxed house, ideally with young professionals or postgraduate students. I’d love to live somewhere sociable where people are happy to chat, cook together or occasionally hang out, but I also really value everyone having their own space and privacy.

I’m clean, tidy, respectful and easy-going. I enjoy cafés, travelling, cooking and meeting people from different backgrounds. I’ve lived abroad in Malaysia, New Zealand and the UK before, so I’m comfortable in international and shared-living environments.

I’m ideally looking to move in around 5 October and stay until around March/2027.

I’m currently in Japan, but I’m happy to do online viewings. My boyfriend is based in Liverpool and may also be able to attend a viewing in person for me if needed.
