Italian PhD student looking for a room in Glasgow

Hi! I’m a 27-year-old Italian PhD student working on contemporary Scottish literature, and I’ll be moving to Glasgow for a six-month Visiting Research Period at the University of Glasgow.

I’m looking for a room in a friendly and welcoming flat where I can feel at home. I’m an easygoing and sociable person: I love reading, chatting, cooking (and sharing food!), going for walks in nature, and playing board games. At the same time, I’m very respectful of personal space and understand that everyone has their own routines and needs.

I’ve been living independently, both on my own and with flatmates, for the past three years, so I’m very used to looking after a home and keeping shared spaces clean and pleasant. I’m tidy and considerate, but also enjoy having a chat or doing something together from time to time!

Ideally, I’d love to find somewhere within walking distance of the University of Glasgow, but I’m also happy to consider places that are well connected by public transport, as long as the area is nice and safe.

I’d love to find a place that feels like a home for these six months and hopefully get to know some lovely people along the way.
