Hi! I’m Orsi, 39, originally from Hungary, also a Finnish citizen, and I’ve been living in London for the past six years. I work full-time in St John’s Wood for a small founder-led natural skincare brand and holistic clinic. My professional background is mainly in events, tourism and hospitality, although I’ve worked in quite a few different fields over the years.

I’ve lived in seven countries and speak four languages (some more fluently than others!), so I’m quite used to being around people from different cultures and backgrounds.

Outside work, I love yoga, running, reading, being in nature, Reiki, psychoterapy and inner work. I’m also really interested in arts and crafts, holistic health, nutrition and wellbeing and can happily disappear down a rabbit hole reading about any of them. I’m a qualified yoga teacher, although I don’t currently teach, and I sometimes think about starting to teach a little on the side. I’m also exploring ideas around creating something of my own in the future.

I currently work fairly long days — around 9 hours at work plus the commute, alternating between four- and six-day weeks — so I’m out quite a lot on working days. Because of that, I really appreciate coming back to a home that feels peaceful, comfortable and somewhere I can properly unwind.

I’m sociable and enjoy a good conversation, a cup of tea in the kitchen or occasionally sharing a meal, but I’m also naturally quite independent and genuinely enjoy my own company. For me, the nicest house-share is somewhere people are comfortable with each other and can have a chat when they cross paths, without feeling that they always need to socialise.

I love cooking fresh food from scratch fermenting, making my own nut butters, broths and generally experimenting in the kitchen and have collected quite a bit of kitchen equipment along the way, so a decent kitchen and some storage space would definitely make me happy! I also care about the space I live in and like making it feel cosy and welcoming. I’m interested in feng shui, interiors and how the way a home is arranged can change how it feels.

Ideally, I’d love an en-suite as I do value having my own space. I’m slightly spoilt at the moment as I have my own bathroom with a bathtub under the skylight where I can look up at the stars — which is going to be pretty hard to beat! That said, I’m open to sharing a bathroom in the right home, especially if it’s not overcrowded and everyone has enough privacy. Being close to nature, parks or somewhere I can go for a run or walk would be a big plus too.

My listed budget is a preference rather than a strict maximum, and I could potentially stretch a little for the right place.

I’m moving because my landlord is selling the house, so I’m looking for my next home rather than simply somewhere to put my things. I’d love to find a relaxed, friendly household where everyone can be themselves, enjoy each other’s company from time to time, and still have their own space and lives.
