Professional Songwriter Seeking Double Room | £550

Hi, I’m Sam, a 38-year-old professional musician and songwriter looking for a comfortable, well-maintained double room in a friendly, relaxed and professional household.

I’m based in South Yorkshire, where I own my main home, but my music career increasingly takes me to London for songwriting sessions, recording and meetings. I’m now looking to establish a permanent second base in the South East rather than continually staying in hotels.

What I’m looking for:

Ideally, a furnished double room with an en-suite bathroom, parking and good access to transport links. My budget is around £550–£575 per month, preferably including bills.

I’m particularly interested in Dorking, Reigate, Leatherhead, Guildford and surrounding areas, although I’m flexible for the right property. Good connections to London, Horsham and Hastings are important.

I’d require the room on a full-time, seven-day-a-week basis, although my work means I’ll frequently be travelling and spending time at my main home in Yorkshire.

A little about me:

I’m an established independent recording artist and songwriter, working professionally in the music industry. My work involves recording, writing and travelling, so I’m looking for somewhere peaceful and comfortable to return to.

I’m sociable, friendly, considerate, clean and respectful of other people’s space. I enjoy good coffee, cooking, exploring independent cafés, keeping fit and generally having a relaxed home environment.

I’m equally happy having a chat over coffee or keeping myself to myself. I appreciate a home where everyone respects one another’s privacy.

Ideally, I’d like somewhere that would occasionally allow my partner to stay overnight, perhaps once or twice a week, subject to agreement.

I’m looking for a longer-term arrangement and can potentially offer three months’ rent upfront for the right property.
