Swiss flatmate looking for a room from January

Hi, I’m Olivia! I’m moving from Switzerland to London in January 2027 for a one-year graduate programme and I’m looking for a furnished room in a friendly flatshare.

I’ve lived in several shared flats before and have always got on really well with my flatmates. I’d love to find a home where people enjoy catching up in the evening, playing the occasional board game or watching a film together. I also appreciate some quiet time to myself and am equally respectful of other people’s space.

When it comes to cooking, I’m happy doing my own thing day to day, but I also enjoy cooking and sharing a meal with flatmates when we feel like it.

Outside work, I enjoy dancing, tennis, yoga and getting out to concerts or musicals. I’m also happy with a good book and a quiet evening at home. I’m looking forward to exploring London, discovering new places to eat and making the most of the city.

I’ll be working near Aldgate East and would ideally like to live within around a 20-minute cycle of the office. My budget is up to £1,000 per month. I’m particularly interested in Bethnal Green, Hoxton, Hackney, Spitalfields and Shoreditch, but I’m open to other nearby areas for the right flatshare.

I’ve booked temporary accommodation for the first two weeks of January, so I’ll be available for in-person viewings once I arrive. I’m hoping to move in around mid-January and stay for approximately a year.
