Description
I am an independant single male, (yes.. I cook for myself!). I enjoy smoking too much to give up, but when I do smoke, it is always outside. I used to be a Self Employed Profesional Tradesman for 20+ years within the Flooring industry but currently I am working at Gatwick Airport as a Driver.
I have two siblings with children and I am ok with any pets. I have had an African Grey parrot called Charlie for 8yrs, I adopted her from my father who has sadly past away, any animal lovers I'm sure would understand why I want to keep her, she has her moments but in general a well behaved bird, she knows when it's bedtime so you need not worry about being kept awake at night. When I am home my time is mostly dedicated to her. Depending on the living conditions, it would not be a problem for her to stay in my room as this is something that we are used to anyway.
I am naturally clean and tidy due to my work experience & a get to the point attitude regarding any problems, I believe prolonged awkwardness is not healthy for anyone, I'm sure we all have enough to worry about! I try to keep fit God Willing and I am not fussy about food, unless you take it from my plate without asking.. then we would have a problem (luckily this hasn't happened yet).. I have had experience sharing houses in the past with many different types of people and believe in mutual respect for other people's boundaries (0 casualties so far!)..
I have been taught humility in my life, and I am not too proud to admit that. Sadly, a tragedy in my 20s has slowly turned me into a not so much social bunny! Friends have come & gone over the years and I believe them to have been good friendships while they lasted! I had a very happy childhood & school life with many close friends, I just started preferring my own company the older I got. I only have work related friends now so technically I guess I'm a bit of a loner. Having my Charlie is enough for me right now, she keeps me sane in an insane world, even at times when she drives me crazy!
I hope this gives you a little bit of an idea about my current situation before I start to waffle! Please feel free to contact me any time on Spareroom with any questions.. texting is also fine.. would prefer no calls after 10pm.. Thank you for your time & kind regards!
