Furnished double room in a beautiful period home in Troon, available from January 2027.

The room has a king-sized bed, wardrobe, desk and chest of drawers, and looks out over the large garden. There’s extra storage in the hall outside the room, and secure outdoor storage for bikes and equipment. You’ll also have use of the gardens and the conservatory with fire pit. Gas central heating keeps the house cosy. The rent includes broadband and all bills.

The kitchen has a large American fridge freezer, range cooker, microwave, slow cooker, dishwasher and plenty of cupboard space. The bathroom has a large corner bath and an electric shower.

The house is on one of the most desirable streets in Troon. It’s a 2-minute walk to the beach and Royal Troon, a 10-minute walk to the station, on the main bus route, and there’s a parking space.

The household is me, a working professional, my two school-age children and our 3 cats. We’re a quiet, tidy household, and I value calm evenings and weekends at home. I travel for work regularly, so you’ll often have the house to yourself.

I’m looking for a female professional who doesn’t work night shifts and is a non-smoker. The rent can be reduced for the right person in return for some help: looking after the cats when I’m away, occasional childcare and help with other household tasks. Council tax band F, included in rent.
