I’m a mum to two lovely young boys, aged 1 and 2, looking for a kind, reliable and experienced mother’s help to share our home and provide some occasional support with family life.

I’m offering a private bedroom with a king-size bed and your own en-suite bathroom at a discounted rent of £300 per month, including household bills. The reduced rent is offered in exchange for some agreed, occasional help with childcare and light household tasks.

💛 What the arrangement involves
In return for the discounted rent, I’m looking for someone who can occasionally lend a hand with the practicalities of family life. Support would be agreed in advance wherever possible and could include:

• Childcare: Around one nursery or childcare pick-up per week.
• Occasional evenings: Helping with the boys’ bedtime from time to time if I need to work late.
• Cooking: Preparing a simple family meal occasionally.
• Light household tasks: Helping with everyday cleaning, tidying and keeping shared spaces organised.
This is intended to be a flexible, part-time arrangement rather than a full-time nanny position. I’d like to agree clear expectations around the support required so that the arrangement is fair and works well for everyone.

👶 Who I’m looking for
Ideally, you would:
• Have previous childcare experience, particularly with babies and toddlers.
• Be warm, patient, responsible and reliable.
• Be comfortable providing occasional childcare and helping with light household tasks.
• Be happy to provide references and undergo appropriate background checks, including a DBS check where eligible.
• Respect family privacy and enjoy living in a home with two young children.
I’m hoping to find someone who would appreciate affordable accommodation in a comfortable family home and who would enjoy being a little extra support for our family.
