A potential housemate can expect a happy, orderly non-intrusive house where they can relax; be left alone to feel at home and do their own thing- whilst knowing others are intermittently around for casual contact and occasional chat.
It's a wonderful home and a lovely place to just 'be'.
A little more detail regarding the local area...
The Lookout Discovery Centre mentioned above is surrounded by 1, 000 hectares of Crown Estate woodland, where there are many trails and walks to explore; picnic area and mountain bike hire.
Adjacent to the Lookout and also in Swinley Forest, Go Ape offers treetop adventure with zip-lines and high ropes up in the woodland canopy designed to get the adrenaline pumping and the heart thumping. For those who prefer their fun on the forest floor, Go Ape also offer a Segway experience for a unique hour spent cruising through the trees on spectacular off-road trails.
As Swinley Forest is owned by the Crown Estate, we like to think all the facilities there have royal approval! It definitely has a sprinkle of magic dust as parts of the Harry Potter films were filmed there.
Conveniently tucked amongst Reading, Farnborough, Maidenhead and Slough it's the perfect antidote to busy living-a calm oasis for individuals, couples and families to retreat to.
Swinley Forest stretches over 2,600 acres of gentle hills from Bracknell to Crowthorne. It's a lovely place to explore on foot and it's well known for its mountain bike trails.
There's a 15-mile cycle network offering Green (beginner), Blue (intermediate) and Red (advanced) trails so something for two-wheeled adventurers and family riders too.
Bring your own bike(s) or you can hire from the Swinley Bike Hub.
Children can launch a hydrogen rocket, play with boats in the indoor stream or build a house with friends in the Look Out Discovery Centre, whose aim is to provide hands-on science and nature exhibits that show and teach children about the way the world works.
There is also a play area which is split into three parts- an inclusive area, infant play area and junior play area.
A drink and snacks can be enjoyed from the Coffee Shop and there are also lots of tables and benches surrounding the play area, if you'd rather take a picnic.
There is a variety of golf centres, courses and clubs set in the local, picturesque Berkshire and Surrey countryside, including alphabetically:
Berkshire Golf Club: 1. 5 miles
Billingbear Park: 7. 2 miles
Birds Hill: 6. 5 miles
Downshire: 3. 1 miles
Sand Martins: 6. 6 miles
Wentworth: 8. 8 miles
Ascot Racecourse: 5. 4 miles.
The Savill Garden, also owned by the Crown Estate, is one of Britain's greatest ornamental gardens and just over 10 miles away.
A glance at a map shows that much of what is mentioned above is quite literally on our doorstep, so we're very lucky.
The excellent location and communication links mean you can get to where you need to be quickly and be able to return to your Bracknell home just as swiftly.
