Description

❤️🏡A HOME TO LOVE🏡 ❤️
Looking for MORE THAN JUST A ROOM and SOMEWHERE FRIENDLY TO CALL HOME, on top of town, close to rail links and with parking? Then look no further!

THE LOCATION:

- This Rare Gem is located on top of town and all that Reading has to offer yet is in a quiet residential cul de sac and has parking
- Only 6 mins walk to Reading Centre Station
- Only 2 mins walk to Reading Town Centre
- 2 mins walk to Sainsbury's Express
- Shops, cafes, bars, restaurants, nightlife, gyms, and entertainment are all just a short walk away

YOUR NEW HOME:

- Has great communal areas; all perfect for getting to know your fellow housemates and making friends
- Has a BEAUTIFUL LOUNGE with leather sofas, central heating and a cosy fire
- The lounge overlooks the Quiet Patio Garden which is perfect for BBQ's and alfresco dining
- The separate DINING ROOM is spacious and has a large table with 8 chairs
- The MODERN KITCHEN overlooks the patio garden
- Has a MODERN BATHROOM
- Is maintained to a high standard by myself (a Iive-out landlady) and the tenants whom regard it very much as their HOME and MORE THAN JUST A ROOM LET
- The property has 2 PARKING PERMITS (subject to availability)
- The house also has broadband, a 43' TV with Wifi etc., Digital TV points in all the bedrooms, smoke detectors, carbon monoxide alarms, emergency lighting and safety certificates
- The property has a total of just 4 bedrooms

YOUR BEDROOM:

- Bedroom 3 is a VERY LARGE DOUBLE room tastefully decorated in restful colours
- is fully furnished with a comfy double bed, bedside cabinet, HUGE WARDROBE, 2 chest of draws, plus a LARGE DESK and is PERFECT FOR WORKING FROM HOME if needed

THE HOUSEMATES/LANDLADY:

- with the help of the housemates (currently Adam, Sarah, Toby and Jake) I am looking for a friendly housemate to replace Jake when he moves
- The Housemates are all young hard working, sociable, tidy and respectful professionals who enjoy living together
- They like to play various sports and go to the gym, play board games, love music and going out shopping and socialising, or simply enjoy relaxing at Home after work and enjoy cooking together some nights or share a cup of tea, glass of wine or beer whilst watching TV or a movie together and talking about their day

- I am a private landlady of over 17 years with NRLA Accreditation and not a letting agent
- You have a direct line to me and it is only ever me that you deal with
- The house is designed for young professionals looking for a Home rather than just a Room let where you never know who you will be sharing with from one month to the next or whom your landlord/letting agent will put in with you!
- The rooms rarely come available and get snapped up quickly due to the great location and quality of the property, along with the care taken to find the right mix of housemates and to involve the tenants in picking who moves in, which is also why tenants tend to stay a long time

Please see TENANT TESTIMONIALS below to give you an idea of their time at the house:

ADAM
"I have been at Sackville Street for over a year now and have loved every second. I came to Reading not knowing anyone but the housemates were all extremely welcoming and friendly. We tend to do movie nights, we cook together or we'll do BBQ's with ex-housemates in the summer. I think the best bit is the location, as we are right in the town centre, and couldn't be close to the train station if we tried. Julie is always one message away and quick to respond if there are any issues - which is rare. I would highly recommend this house to anyone looking for a sociable houseshare in the centre of town!"

MIGUEL Á. Alhambra
"I had the pleasure to live at this house for nearly two years. The only reason of my depart from my lovely room is my new opportunity abroad, otherwise I'd stay here for as long as I could with no hesitation.
The environment in the house in general is great, always with full of energy people, nice to hang around with and people who you know they'll become your friends.
Regarding Julie and her management I have no word to describe how professional and on point she is. She knows exactly what she is doing. She is a caring person and understands with simpathy all the worries their tenants might have. Definitely, a woman dedicated to her job that will make your stay as pleasaant as possible.
If I were to have to say only one thing about the house is its excellent location and the tranquility of the area.
I'm very sad to have to say goodbye to my room but, especially the housemates and the room.
A hidden gen in the heart of Reading not to be missed!"

CHARLOTTE
"I lived in Sackville Street for a year and a half. I loved my time there. I felt very at home. It is a social house so never a dull moment. I was lucky to have extremely lovely housemates, who I still see now. I recommend this room for anyone looking for a house share where you never feel lonely! Julie is a great landlady, fixing problems quickly when they arise, and ensuring the safety and upkeep of the house."

LYNDSEY
"Julie has always been a great landlady fixing things very quickly and doing the regular health and safety checks.
Sackville is a great house. Fantastic location great size rooms and I've always felt safe.
We have been very sociable tenants that have made the house a home.
Late night chats with a beer ... movie nights with pizza or trips out in town.
I have really enjoyed my time at Sackville its definitely been my favourite house share."

KATIE
"I lived at Sackville Street for 4 and a half incredibly happy years. Sackville for me wasn't just a house to rent, it was a home where I have made some incredible friends for life.

Sackville itself is in an amazing location, just a 6 minute walk from the front door to being on the station platform (trust me I timed it!), 3 minutes to a local supermarket and 5 minutes to the heart of town. Everything is easy walking distance.

The house is easy to keep clean and tidy and there's plenty of space for everyone to hang out together in the lounge, dining room or the garden in the summer. Sackville has always been a very social house - we've had many lovely dinner parties and BBQ parties over the years! Equally, the rooms are spacious enough to have a quiet chilled out night in too.

Julie, the landlord, has been truly wonderful from the word go. She takes great care in her selection of housemates to ensure there is a good dynamic and positive atmosphere in the house, and takes the views of the current tenants into account when choosing anyone for a vacant room. If something breaks in the house she's swift to fix it and will ensure plenty of notice if visiting the property. Not only this, she is a genuinely caring and lovely person, she loves to chat and is very generous with welcome gifts, Christmas treats and nice homeware top ups to make the place feel homely!
A wonderful home and I'm very sad to leave it."

SEAN
"I was at Sackville for 3 and a half years and I really enjoyed my time there. The location of the house is very handy and sharing with three others helped me quickly build a social circle in a new city. Julie is a fantastic landlord - so quick to help when anything goes wrong and she also listened to us when deciding on new tenants, so that the social atmosphere in the house was always there. I would definitely recommend Sackville for anyone new to the city or looking for a friendly Home in a central location! Best wishes."
