Description
Hi 👋, I've 2 rooms available for rent in a modern top floor penthouse flat (with lift access). A brand new double ensuite room and a double room is now available. I'm the legal home owner of this property, not a subletter.
Limited time offer:
£850 for the master double ensuite bedroom
£700 for the double bedroom (with king size bed)
Some of the photos you see in the ads were taken right before I bought this flat. The video was taken very recently after I've done a new refurbishment. So pretty much everything is new!
I'm looking for a student or a working professional (not full-time WFH) who is quiet, clean, respectful, responsible and easy to live with to rent 1 of my lovely rooms 🙂.
I would prefer both of my tenants to be female (ideally with similar age or interests), so they could feel more comfortable in the same flatshare.
I have a solid reasons on why I don't prefer male tenants in the same flatshare. Because male tenants often cause more troubles and I've had MANY bad experiences in the past... So I'll try to avoid that again... Sorry for the guys out there who are interested.
Travel: 🚅
Travel to central London is very fast and convenient despite the location. Only 2-3mins walk to Slough train station with Great Western Railway and Elizabeth line in the same platform.
Only 15~ mins with GWR express train to central London Paddington Zone 1 (only 1 stop).
30~ mins with Elizabeth line train to central London Paddington Zone 1 (7 stops).
37~ mins with Elizabeth line train to middle of central London Zone 1 like Tottenham Court Road (9 stops).
42~ mins with Elizabeth line train to Liverpool Street (11 stops).
All trains are pretty new with air conditioning. Elizabeth line have mobile network connection even when it goes underground.
There are also multiple night trains after 12am and they run every night from Paddington to Slough (except Sunday morning). You can check on the "TfL Go" app.
It's very safe at night walking from the station. I've never seen any shady people hanging outside the station at night. Unlike central London where there are often pickpockets or creepy people hanging outside the station at night...
Room 1: 🛌
The master ensuite bedroom has plenty of space as you can see in the video. The 50" Samsung 4K TV includes Netflix 4K premium and cloud gaming feature. The ensuite bathroom has a standing shower + waterfall feature.
Room 2: 🛌
The double room has a super king-size bed. The 50" Samsung 4K includes Netflix 4K premium and cloud gaming feature.
Portable air conditioning 🌬❄️ (optional) will be available for both rooms during the hot summer period from May to August (as shown in the video in room 2). But I'll have to install the custom window cover with the hose ventilation (that's how portable AC works).
The insulation is very good in this flat. During the winter it doesn't get too cold unlike other older flats/houses 🏠. Also it has double glazed windows for extra sound soundproofing as well as keeping the temperature stable in the room.
Share spaces: 🏘
The shared bathroom has a bathtub with shower.
The shared kitchen have fridges + 1 extra freezer, microwave, oven, stove, washing machine (with dry function), dishwasher and a dining table.
My private space: 🛌
I'll be living & sleeping in the living room with a partition wall divider black curtains for my own privacy. The big balcony is only shared when I'm working away from the UK between 3~6months (read about me below).
Utility bills: 💲
Ultra fast 1GB hyperoptic broadband (400~600MB Wi-Fi), water and electricity are included in the rent.
No gas needed in the flat as everything uses electricity ⚡️.
Council tax: 💰
If you're a student, then you don't need to pay any council tax. I'm currently paying the single person council tax (Band C). But I don't think it's necessary to upgrade it to a multi-person package unless you're a working full-time and have been staying here for at least 2+ years (which is consider long term imo).
Pets: 🐾
I will only allow some small, quiet, non-dangerous type animals (no dog 🐕 sorry because the barking noise will wake me up). So please let me know what type of pet do you want to bring. I'm a cat 🐱 person, but I currently don't have any cat/pet. So if you've a cat or want to own one, then you're more than welcome to bring it here! Also, your cat would probably love sitting next to the window watching birds 🐦 flying pass the rooftop all day 😸.
Neighbours: 👥
It's 1 of the most quiet neighbourhood I've ever lived in, especially in a flat. The neighbours on the same floor are very friendly too.
Parking: 🚗
If you have a car, there is currently 1 parking spot in the underground parking garage available for this property. You can also park nearby on the street.
Nearby: 🚶♂️
1~2mins walk to gym.
7~8mins walk to highstreet, shopping mall, pubs & restaurants.
9~mins walk to the MASSIVE Tesco grocery store. Or 1 min walk from Slough station when you come back. Just take the South exit instead.
5~10mins walk to multiple parks nearby 🌳.
About me: 🙋🏻♂️
I'm mostly quiet at home. I'm mature and easy to talk to. Also I'm a very friendly and open minded person who loves a bit of humour 😁. So I don't mind having a chit chat, being social with my tenants or open to be friends. Although it's not necessary and I respect other people personal space & privacy.
In general, I'm clean in shared areas. In my free time. I usually like staying at home being comfy & relax, play some video games, watch some sports, Youtube, or a movie etc.
I do drink occasionally, but usually just a small amount to lighten up my mood.
I also enjoy eating out at a restaurant and trying something new once in a while. In fact, there is a very nice & cosy Sushi restaurant (Japanese chefs) in town just 7mins walk. So if you're here, you've got to try it 1 day!
I do go out to meet my friends, but I very rarely invite friends to my flat because they don't live in this area, and my family live in Asia.
I love sports, in fact I was in a tennis, table tennis, badminton, and football team back in high school! I'm also good at playing pool, bowling, poker and other games too. But nowadays, I'm just too busy with work and trying to sort out things in my new flat have become my top priority 😅.
I'm currently single (not divorced) and I've been living in this lovely 2 bedrooms flat all by myself since I bought this property back in 2024.
I'm a full-time professional working night shifts in a gaming industry in central London. When I come back from work at night. I'll try to be as quiet as possible, so I don't wake anyone up during their sleep.
Despite this is my main home. I do spend between 3~6months each year travelling to the US 🇺🇸 for work and sometimes back to Asian to see my families & friends. So I'm not always in the UK. When I'm not at home in the UK, you could enjoy the beautiful balcony and the living room (big sofa + 65inch OLED TV).
If you have any questions, please DM me.
P. S I'm getting a lot DMs so I might not be able to read & reply to ALL messages... and I'll ignore messages that have no profile pictures / personal ad because I'd have no idea who I'm talking to (due to possible bot account or scam). If I don't reply to your message within a few days, that means I'm either I might have missed your message, not interested or the room(s) have been reserved. Thanks for understanding. 🙏
