Double Bedroom in Friendly Houseshare 1/12/25

Double room available in Bedminster from December 1st. It’s a 2-min walk to North Street and about a 25-min walk/10-min cycle to the centre.

We’re looking for a friendly, chilled working professional in their 30s/late 20s to live with me (31) and Ben (36). Ben is a landscaper and I work for an environmental organisation. We’re both into a mix of stuff like the outdoors, music, going to gigs, cycling, football, pubs, art, reading & the cinema etc – all the usual good stuff! Ben moved in a year ago and I joined in August, so it's a fairly new house share set-up.

We both have busy lives and slightly different schedules, but when we’re around we’ll hang out in the lounge or chat in the kitchen. We’re looking for someone who can contribute to the relaxed and friendly atmosphere. It’s not a party household, but having friends over for dinner or coffee is welcomed!

It’s worth noting that the house is not very soundproof, so unfortunately, the late-night violin practise you’ve been planning isn't going to work out here.

It's also worth noting that the majority of the furniture will be going with our departing housemate. We’ll be replacing some of the bigger items like sofas and dining table, but it likely means there'll be space and opportunity to rejig the communal areas with whoever moves in.

There's free on-street parking available, but it can get full when there’s a game/event on at Ashton Gate Stadium.

There’s one communal bathroom with a shower and bath, plus a downstairs toilet. Broadband, washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher.

Council tax is band B and currently £170/month between us. Rent for the room is £450, and with bills on top, it’s currently at £610 all in. This could change over the next few weeks, however, with changing utility providers and moving into winter etc – please bear with us on that front! It’s a 12-month contract.
