Description
Hi,
We’re looking for a replacement female or non-binary housemate to move into our 3 bedroom house in Bedminster, as I’m moving out of Bristol for work. The room would be available from the 22nd August and you would be living with two lovely professionals, Suzie and Alex and Suzie’s semi-adopted cat Socks.
We’d like a professional who is friendly, clean, and who has a balance of being sociable but appreciating down-time too - also someone happy to chip in with looking after the house and garden.
I’m sorry, we’re not able to accept a student.
About the housemates:
Suzie (26) works at the science centre and Alex (24) is a photographer 😊
About the room:
The bedroom is on the smaller side but large enough for a double bed. It’s located at the back of the house. The bedroom will be unfurnished but the rest of the house has been furnished by the other housemates.
About the house & bills:
The house is in a great location in Bedminster with both North and East Street only ten minutes walk away, Harbourside thirty minutes away and there is also a Lidl within a ten minute walk.
The rent is £566 and the monthly bills are currently £140 but may fluctuate slightly in the winter. The water bill is then paid separately every 6 months, which works out at £16 each a month - the total per month would come to £725.
In the house there are two bathrooms, one with a bath, an extension with a large kitchen and dining space, a living room, and plenty of storage space with a full loft and cubby room which we use for general storage and bikes. There’s also a good-sized private garden.
The house is rented through a small Bristol-based agency, who are great and reliable - the agent is responsive and we’ve had no issues with having maintenance issues fixed. There is on-street parking.
Local Transport:
The house is only a couple minutes away from the bus stop for multiple routes including the 75, 76, and the airport flyer which is so handy. It’s also 5 minutes walk to Parson Street Station.
Contract:
To join the contract, you would substitute in for the remainder of the current contract which would be until June 2025. The deposit amount is £500 and there would be a £50 fee to join the contract. You will need a UK-based guarantor and a reference from your previous landlord.
We are planning on starting viewings next week, and would like to find someone by the end of July, so we can then do the contract in August. If you’re interested please send us a message with a bit about yourself and we look forward to hearing from you! :)
