Spacious double room to share with another four professionals, Julio, Nieves and Nathan. Situated just behind the vibrant North Street, at Bedminster. Close to Aldi and all the shops.
There is a good vibe in the house, everybody is respectful and sharing sometimes, but everybody is busy with their lifes, although Nieves the woman in charge of paying rent and bills is very friendly and welcoming 😊
The house has a cosy and decent-sized living room, next to a spacious kitchen, with a small outdoor space to eat in summer time and a garage for extra storage, bike or motorbike parking.
It has five bedrooms, but only four are in use since there is only one bathroom, which has never been an issue. The fifth room is used as extra storage and contains some furniture that can be reused (bed, desk, bedsheets, lamp...). It is used, also, to hang out the washing.
The room comes unfurnished apart from wardrobe :)
Total Rent: £1900.00 (£475 each tenant)
Deposit (assured by a Deposit Protection Scheme): £2192.00 (£548 each tenant)
We pay Nieves (person in charge) £600 a month (incudes rent and bills), bills oscillate from 125-150 depending on winter months and usage.
We pay another tenant Julio, in charge of the internet, £11.25 a month and £30 cancellation fee in advance, this will need to be paid to me and January 2026 will be returned (24 months contract), if you leave the house before will be returned.
The contract runs from 27th of December 2024 to 26th June 2025 (6 months) and then month to month. It has already started but I have an agreement with the Landlord and the Agency to leave because I was about to move with my partner but to due a house renovation needed in the new place I needed to stay. You will need to pay the deposit to Martin (the landlord) to secure the room as we can start the process of changing names in the Deposit and Contract.
The moving date is 21st of January but we will meet before to sort out keys and last payment (rent+bills+cancellation fee) which will be proportional to the days from move-in-date (11 days). Rent is paid the 27th of each month, so it means I have already paid January rent + bills (£600).
So in total you will need to pay 548 deposit to the landlord + 220 rent+bills for eleven days and the returnable cancellation fee of £30 to me.
