House share Bedminster BS3

We have a room in our house in BS3, about 10-15 min walk from North Street and about 30 min or so walk from the centre.

Transport links are good; the closest buses that go to the centre are the 24 and M2. Other bus services that are a bit further away include the 75, 76 and M1. Hire scooters/bicycles are around the corner and there is free local on street parking.

House is in good condition and has a very large rear garden.

We have a single bedroom available with small double bed.

Room is £400pm and is available from 1 January 2026. This includes bills (within reason).

You would be sharing the house with myself (I am a retired maritime solicitor), my wife Lene (who is Brazilian), our son Alexander (22) who is a bus driver and another tenant. Lene and I travel frequently so are often not at the house for long periods. Alexander spends most of his time in his room. We have in the past had a board games nights maybe once fortnight in which our eldest daughter Emily and her partner also get involved.

House has two bathrooms, large open plan living room and kitchen, 4 bedrooms and large garden. Lene and I have an en-suite, so main bathroom would only be shared with Alexander and other tenant in double room that is available. The kitchen is very well equipped and there is a laundry room with washing machine and tumble dryer.

There are several shops available locally, such as Sainsburys, Food Warehouse, B&M, Halfords and Currys. There is also a gym about 5 mins walk next to Sainsburys. North Street with its many bars, restaurants and other shops, such as Aldi, Tesco Express, Co-op and chemists is a 10-15 min walk or a stop on the 24 bus route. UWE City Campus is 5 mins by car, 8 mins by bicycle or 20-25 mins walk.

Although perhaps a little further out than others it is still close to the centre and you can easily walk/cycle/scooter into town. Previous occupants have not found the location an issue. Overall I would say that it is convenient, peaceful and a very nice house :)
