Description
*Please only apply if you are in our age preference! Thanks.
We have a lovely room available in a warm, welcoming 4-bed house just off North Street. It's a cosy home on a quiet residential street, but well-connected with buses, and a 25/30 minute walk to the city centre. There's also free on-street parking.
The three of us — Em (business owner), Tom (science guy) and Duncan (a puppeteer) — have all lived here between 2 and 4 years. We get on well, like to wind down in front of the TV after work, and enjoy a drink and a night out now and again. That said, we respect each other's privacy and this is very much a home rather than a party house. We keep it homely, know our neighbours, and genuinely enjoy living here.
We're looking for a like-minded professional, ideally late 20s/30s who works during the week. Some days wfh would be ok but not full time as other housemates also wfh!
We're also a partially veggie/vegan household, so would prefer someone who's on board with that or at least considerate of it.
The room is on the upstairs in the middle and gets lots of lovely sunlight.
The house has a large shared living room, a good-sized kitchen, and a big bathroom with both a bath and shower. There's a low-maintenance back garden that's great in summer, and secure metal bike sheds with space for one bike per person.
Rent is around £514.24/month plus bills (varying slightly with seasonal heating costs). The initial contract is 6 months, then rolling monthly. The landlord requires a credit check, proof of affordability, and professional references. No students please. The room is unfurnished.
The new contract will start on 1st August.
If you're interested, please a bit about yourself and any questions. We aim to start viewings asap as some of us are away later in the month.
