A bright, quiet double room in a fully furnished two-bed maisonette, sharing with just one other person (me). Because it's a two-bed rather than a big house share, you get near-private run of the place: a spacious living room with a large smart TV, a proper fully equipped kitchen, and a small garden that's ideal for a BBQ with friends or reading in the shade on a sunny day.

The room is a good-sized double, north facing so it stays cool and comfortable in summer, and tucked at the back where you can't hear the high street. It's furnished with a double bed, hanging space, shelving and drawers, plus a large desk, so it's properly set up for working from home. Fibre broadband throughout.

Storage isn't shy either: you get your own fridge, cupboard space in the kitchen and a couple of deep freezer drawers, so no fighting over room. There's a combined washer-dryer too, so you can put a load on before bed and wake up to clean, dry clothes. Heating is recent energy-efficient electric smart radiators you control room by room, and bills are included.

The location is hard to beat. One minute from Heron Foods, the greengrocer, a pharmacy, the post office, The Dame pub and Dean Lane swimming pool, and the East Street bus stop with buses every few minutes (around 20 to the airport). Five minutes to a big Asda, Lidl, Victoria Park, North Street, gyms and Bedminster train station, with Temple Meads about 20 to 25 minutes on foot. Access is from the quiet Warden Road side, not the high street.
