Description

I am looking to let our rooms out to someone who is clean and tidy, has good personal hygiene, is a non-smoker (inc. vaping) and like a dog (we have well-behaved Jack Russell Chihuahua cross).

The room is for single occupancy only, and not suitable for people that are Full Time WFH (1-2 days Hybrid workers welcome) or are looking for a party house.
* PHD student may considered.

As me and my husband (my dog too) are going to be away for 3-6 months from Aril onward, I am looking for particularly clean and responsible individual to let the rooms out.

**Ensuite Large double(5m×7m. no picture uploaded at this moment) is available from 1st April 2026. If you need to move in earlier than 1st April, we may be able to arrange something to accommodate your need if you are right person for us.

**About the flat**
The flat is located in Clifton, 5 minutes walk away from the village and suspension bridge. 15 minutes walk from Bristol University and Clifton Down Shopping centre (Whiteladies Road).
It is on the 2nd floor and has 3 bedrooms (plus one study room) with 2 bathrooms (one is an ensuite).
There are bus stops 2-5 minutes walk away for the number 5 (city centre), 8 (Temple Meads), 77 (Filton), and 505 (Southmead) buses.
The flat itself, our neighbours & the surrounding area are very very quiet.

The flat is newly renovated and we keep the flat clean and tidy throughout the week. Cleaning in communal areas is done by myself frequently for now, but the lodger would be expected to keep the place nice and tidy too. Ideally, I would like to someone who willing to participate weekly cleaning duties (from time to time for now and in fill whilst we are away)-unloading dishwasher/ recycle and bins out/ quick vacuum in communal area.

Kitchen is fully equipped and the facilities are shared, so you don't need to bring your own crockery.

Included bills are follows-Council tax band E, water, TV licence and internet. Gas and Electricity bill can be included with the advertised rent with reasonable usage.
Also, communal items are included too till April- such as toilet roll, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, hand wash & cleaning products, as long as the usage is not excessive.

Unfortunately, there is no bike shed/garage nor off-street parking available on the property. But you can have a Residence Permit or free on-street parking between 5pm -9am (or 4.30 pm -9.30 am with free 30 minute parking) on Mon-Fridays, free all day on Sat, Sundays & Bank Holidays.

**About us**
My husband and I are both full time workers and we are in our early 40's. We start the day early and go to bed early, and our daily routine is fairly simple and quiet- get up(go to gym)/work/dog walk/ have dinner, watch something on Netflix or study(sauna) and go to bed. We both mainly working from home.

Current lodger is in his early 30, working in engineering. He works in the office/site during the week days, roughly leaving the flat around 7.30am and back 18:30pm. He has very light kitchen and bathroom usage, so less likely clashes with you.

The flat would be best suited for someone who has his/her own daily routine and is independent, but we are happy to socialise (coffee/ dinner/ wine etc) at times and have a warm and reciprocal relationship!
Previous lodger stayed with us about one and half year.
