We're a family of three, well four if you include both our son (12 yr. old) and dog, who are lucky enough to live in a colourful iconic 4-floor townhouse in central Bristol. The house sits upon the hill in Cliftonwood, with views across Bristol's historic harbour, and off into the Ashton Court estate.
On the top floor is a private, quiet, good sized spare room, with en-suite bathroom, and we would like to find a suitable lodger to come stay with us.
The room is currently furnished and would allow someone to settle quickly with little effort. The room currently has storage, a TV and a desk which can be used to work.
The current setup has a comfortable sofa bed, allowing the room to be used for both sleeping and relaxing. Although, if you’d prefer, we can swap this sofa bed over with a king size bed (currently in the other spare room).
The en-suite is a reasonable size and has a bath and over-tap shower.
The house comes with broadband. There is also residential on-street parking available.
Downstairs we have a large kitchen dining area with bi-folding doors which lead out to the garden. The kitchen has plenty of space and facilities to cook, a dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer.
We'll be asking for a contribution of £100 p/m towards all other bills. This includes electricity, gas, water, broadband and council tax (Band E). We will review this contribution every 6 months.
As this is a family home, we're looking for someone who is willing to join a quiet, peaceful space, and is mature enough to navigate the privacy expected. Similarly, we're happy to respect your privacy (and the room is set up to allow you to have it) but hope to be welcoming and friendly nonetheless.
We believe the room is perfect for someone looking for a place to stay when working away from home, or someone looking for a private hassle-free space of their own.
We have a friendly but large dog, so the room would be unsuitable for anyone worried about dogs or with dog related allergies.
Cliftonwood is a peaceful area within walking distance to the harbour, central Bristol and Clifton. So, whether you want to head to Ashton Court for a long walk, or a wander around the harbour, or head into town, everything is within reach.
