Description
Hello! We have a double room available in our mixed house of friendly creatives/professionals, and we're looking for a lovely new person to join us!
We’re seeking someone (28-41) who would (hopefully!) become friends as well as our housemate. We all have independent lives and friendships, but we like to spend chilled time together and would love to find someone who is looking for the same vibe. If you’re looking for a place to call home and you like getting to know who you live with then you’re in the right place.
We occasionally like to do movies nights, pancake mornings and the odd meal together - but we’re always open to new suggestions and traditions, so share if you have any! We’re also not a party house, but we do love a wine on an evening and bringing our friends together to enjoy our lovely space.
PLEASE NOTE: We are only looking for single occupancy tenants (please no couples/families sharing a room).
We’re afraid we cannot accept students! Council tax is expensive living in a mixed occupancy. Sorry guys!
We all work outside of the house during the day and due to this, unfortunately we cannot consider anyone who needs to work from home. There are a few reasons for this - The house is big and Georgian, therefore not cheap to heat and we are really looking to keep our energy bills down, but also the general energy tends to feel off if one person is occupying the space more than anyone else.
We take pride in our home and would like to meet somebody that will enjoy doing likewise. We like to keep it clean and tidy with everybody doing their bit to keep it lovely. The ideal would be someone who communicates openly, and takes initiative to deep clean/ spruce up areas, fix problems etc, rather than simply cleaning up after themselves. If you feel the same, we’d love to hear from you.
This room is available from Monday 16th March. You can move in after this (as it's quite soon!) - but rent would need to be covered from this date.
//THE HOUSEMATES//
Nic: Works as an illustrator/muralist and for BS3 Community. Always ready for a chat and a chai; she loves psychology, podcasts, theatre, gigs and any transformative creative project.
Corinne: A chill and cheerful freelance copywriter from Cornwall. Big music and beach fan, she loves going to gigs, movies, swimming, lounging around with a book and visiting home to get in the sea.
Ross: A laid back clinical psychologist who we still can’t believe is now a ‘Dr’! He loves a wine, winding down watching TV and keeping fit at the gym.
Chris: Mostly found at his girlfriend Rosie’s house! Loves sports and all that goes with it.
// THE ROOM //
RENT: £500 pm
BILLS: £160 pm (all in at moment but this is subject to change if necessary) – bi weekly cleaner is also included
DEPOSIT: £250 to be paid in advance to secure the room.
A good sized, sunny Double room at the back of the property with the best view of the house, out across Bristol behind Royal York Crescent.
Large window
Period fireplace
Unfurnished
There is a big cupboard outside the room that you can use as storage/ a wardrobe, which gives you more space in the room.
Rest of house:
2 bathrooms
Large lounge and kitchen/diner
All white goods minus dishwasher
Fibre optic internet and free view
This really is a fab house and a steal considering the idyllic location. Although we don’t have our own outside space, we have access to beautiful shared gardens a few steps from our front door, with the Suspension Bridge just a stones’ throw away.
** Parking note: If you have a car, we do have 1 permit available, but as it’s the 3rd one, it’s stupidly pricey. Parking is on the street and you pay directly to the council. We have space to keep a bike in our entranceway.
// VIEWINGS //
We get a lot of messages, so please let us know which one of these viewing dates you'd prefer and we'll get back to you if you're on our shortlist:
- Wednesday 25th Feb (evening)
- Tuesday 3rd March (evening) w/o Ross
- Monday 9th March (evening).
Face-to-face viewings much preferred, we want to make sure you’re a good fit for the flat! :)
Looking forward to hearing from you!
