Description
I’m looking for a new housemate as my current housemate is sadly moving away for work.
The available room is a large double bedroom with its own private bathroom, so there’s plenty of space and privacy. The bedroom will be unfurnished, while the shared areas are partially furnished.
The flat has an open-plan kitchen/living room and a landing with storage cupboards, as well as the usual white goods:
* Oven and hob
* Microwave
* Fridge freezer
* Dishwasher
* Washer dryer
*What I’m looking for*
I’m looking for someone who is friendly, respectful, considerate and generally easy-going. I’d ideally like to live with someone who is happy to have a chat, drink or movie night, but who also enjoys having their own space and routine.
For me, the important things are that we’re respectful of each other, keep the communal areas reasonably clean and tidy, and both feel comfortable and at home in the flat.
I’m currently working from home around 4 days a week and sometimes into the evenings, although this is temporary, I have my own working space and I expect to move towards a more balanced split between working from home and the office over the next few months.
*Rent and bills*
Rent: £872.50 per month
Bills: currently £186.97 per person per month, including electricity, gas, water, broadband and council tax.
Deposit: £977.50
The property is managed through an estate agent, so the successful applicant will need to meet their referencing and income requirements. The estate agent currently advises that each housemate needs to earn approximately 15x the total monthly rent (i. e. £26,175), although a guarantor may be accepted if this threshold isn’t met.
I believe the first month’s rent will also need to be paid in advance.
*Location*
It is a short walk to Gloucester Road, the city centre and Montpelier. Redland train station is a 5-10 min walk and there is a bus stop directly outside the flat. There are also a couple of local shops only a couple minutes walk away. There is plenty of on-street parking around the flat and parking permits can be purchased from the council.
There is flexibility around the availability date.
If this sounds like it could be a good fit, and you would like to know a little more about me and the flat please get in touch and tell me a little about yourself and anything else you think would be useful to know. I’d be happy to arrange a viewing and have a chat.
