Beautiful house in Cambridge with garden

We have one room available to let in our beautiful house in Chesterton, North Cambridge, just a 10-minute cycle into town.

The house is a much-loved, furnished, open-plan family home with a beautiful garden, owned by us. We are a brother and sister in our early thirties who grew up in the house, but now live in London. One of us, Kate, comes back to stay usually around once a month to escape London life and spend some time at home. Most of the time, though, the house is simply shared between three female lodgers, and in that sense feels a lot more like a shared home :)

One of our current lodgers has lived here happily for seven years, which we hope says a lot about the atmosphere of the house!

We all value our own space and respect that for each other, while also enjoying coming together to eat, chat about our days, have a glass of wine, or get a coffee on the weekend. Over the last 10 years, it’s been a really special, supportive home, where people get on well and genuinely enjoy living together.

There’s one downstairs toilet and shower, another toilet upstairs and a separate larger bathroom, so that aspect of things never feels crowded. The rent includes all bills, council tax, and wifi. There is car parking at the front of the house and secure bike parking in our garage. The rooms are furnished, but that’s flexible so if you’d prefer unfurnished that’s fine too.

It’s not far from the River Cam and there’s several great pubs, as well as takeaways and shops. There’s also a Co-op just five minutes walk away. It is a 5-10 minute cycle ride into the city.
