Large En-suite Double-room in lovely Houseshare

Hello! We’re Fran, Kat, and Joe — a friendly group of three PhD students living in a spacious, cosy 4-bed home in The Crescent, right next to Churchill College. Our housemates is moving back to her home country, so we’re looking for someone new to join our household. Ideally, we’d love to find another student, but we’re open to the right fit!

About the room:
It’s a large double room on the second floor with its own en-suite bathroom. The room comes unfurnished, but our current housemate is hoping to sell all the furniture at a discounted price if you’d like to keep it.

Rent is £578 pcm (excluding bills). Bills usually come to around £150 per month (which includes everything — council tax, WiFi, utilities etc). If you’re a student and exempt from council tax, it works out at around £80 for the rest of the bills.

About the house:
We’ve got a bright and spacious open-plan communal area on the first floor (with a balcony!) — perfect for relaxing in the evenings. There’s also a garage for bikes, both on- and off-street parking, a utility room, and loads of storage space.

The location is great too — just a 5-10 minute cycle into town, with Eddington Sainsbury’s, Aldi, and Co-op nearby. The U bus to the train station stops just a 2-minute walk away. It’s a quiet, tucked-away spot off Madingley Road, and we even have a few friendly resident ducks in the area!

A bit about us:
We’re all in our twenties and doing PhDs in the sciences. While we lead our own busy lives, we enjoy catching up in the evenings, watching TV together, or sharing the occasional meal or takeaway. Hobbies in the house include music, painting, and running — but we’re always keen to welcome new interests and friendly faces.

The room will be available from 30th July.
