Looking for a lodger for room in my house

I’m Kate and I live in a 3 bed maisonette just off Newmarket road in Cambridge near the airport. It’s less than a 5 minute walk to the park & ride bus station which can get you into town in 15 minutes. If you cycle it’s about 15-20 minutes to city centre, 15 mins to Science Park, 10 mins to Cambridge North Station. Cambridge Train station is a 15 minute taxi or cycle ride.

I am looking to get a lodger preferably Monday to Friday but open to full time for the right person. £625pm for Monday to Friday or £800 for full time (all bills included). Ideally looking for minimum of 3 months to see how it goes and can be long term if both happy.

I am needing to be in the office in London more so will be staying in London at a friends house Tuesday to Thursday/Friday every week so the lodger would mostly have the house to themselves mid week. I’m looking for a quiet, tidy and respectful person to live in my home to help offset my London costs.

The room is a medium sized double (looks smaller in photos as it’s a king size bed). The bed is pretty new, hardly slept in, there are two small bedside tables, lamps and a chest of drawers. No wardrobe but can have use of the wardrobe in the spare room or get a rail/ other furniture. There is a bathroom that will be shared when I am home and a downstairs toilet. There is a large living room with a ridiculously oversized sofa and large TV perfect for quiet nights in (it is hard to resist). A good sized kitchen diner downstairs, utility cupboard with washer dryer and a gym/ office in the 3rd bedroom which you are welcome to use when I’m not working from home which would be on Mondays and some Fridays. There are two parking spaces available assigned to the house in a secure parking garage, ample street parking and a bike storage room. There are balconies, terraces and a communal garden.

It’s my first time having a lodger so happy to make some adjustments to help them feel at home. Can share storage space, move stuff around, happy to share everything in the house. House is very well equipped/stocked - cutlery, cooking stuff, coffee machine, dishwasher, air fryer, bed sheets, towels, cleaning supplies, herbs/ spices, Netflix, sky tv. Would probably suit someone who doesn’t have a lot of stuff to bring with them.

I would prefer a female, someone who isn’t looking to have people over, no house parties, someone who prefers chilling at home and socialising out of the house. If full time I do like to relax at weekends and you will likely find me on the sofa watching TV as I tend to work long hours and socialise more during the week. Ideally having someone who’s out a lot at weekends or away would be great or is happy with a quiet chilled environment. Happy to chill together, cook dinner, chat and watch movies.

About me: I just turned 40 but probably still living like I’m in my 20’s. I’m single, work in HR for an online fashion retailer, will be working in London during the week, I play netball, like a pub quiz, enjoy going out for a meal or glass of wine, enjoy the cinema, Taylor Swift and country music fan, big Netflix binger, K-beauty addict, spa lover, chatty, cleaning/organising, US & Canada travel, cruises. TV compatibility - most things on Netflix, true crime, property shows, a bit of reality trash, thriller/crime dramas, documentaries, comedy, rom coms.
