Description
AVAILABLE FROM 1st JANUARY 2025, LOVELY ROOM TO RENT IN SPACIOUS FAMILY HOME IN GREAT LOCATION.
SUITABLE FOR PHD STUDENT, INTERN OR YOUNG PROFESSIONAL.
We let two bedrooms in our fantastically located, four bedroom, detached family home situated between the city centre, Mill Road and Cambridge station.
The bedrooms are fully furnished with a double bed in both rooms, a desk, wardrobe, chest of drawers and bookshelves. Whilst both are double rooms, WE ONLY ACCEPT SINGLE OCCUPANCY.
We are ultimately looking for tidy, like-minded lodgers who will be working outside of the house during the day from Monday - Friday. IF YOU WORK FROM HOME DURING THE WEEK, THIS IS NOT THE HOUSE FOR YOU.
Please note that we don't allow our lodgers to bring friends back to the house and are strictly non-smoking.
The house has an entrance hall, piano room, large kitchen with dining area and downstairs toilet. Upstairs we have four bedrooms with a family bathroom and we also have an ensuite in our bedroom. We have a garden with a large art studio at the back of the house. There is a further toilet in the art studio. The living room is for family use only.
It is a very friendly neighbourhood and is a five-minute bike ride from the city centre and also from the railway station. We have resident parking in surrounding streets.
My partner and I are both artists and I am a lecturer in Fine Art and an artist facilitator often working from home. My partner works at Trinity College Wren Libray.
We have rented out bedrooms for some years and would be happy for a PhD student or young professional to live with us. Whilst we like our own privacy and would respect your privacy it is important to us that we feel a rapport with our lodgers as it is very much still a family home.
My 22-year-old son has just graduated from his maths degree finishing his maths so he will be around on and off during his subsequent gap year, although he plans to travel and my two daughters who live in London will visit from time to time. We have a dog called Alfie and a puppy called Sonny, and we love walking, wild swimming, yoga, mindfulness, making art, visiting art galleries, music, visiting the cinema and arthouse films, current affairs, getting together with family and friends, reading and travel.
