Restful and Relaxing - Room with a View

Yew is a quiet room with its own large bathroom (with bath and power shower) just 2 steps from the bedroom, in our lovingly-restored Victorian house and available for single occupancy as from 1st March 2021. The room is fully furnished and includes a 32” flat screen TV, DVD player, ample sockets, extra USB points, superfast broadband and a compact and silent room fridge as well as storage and hanging space. Bedding and towels are provided and changed weekly when we service your room at no extra charge.

All bills are included. There's a utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer. There’s off-street parking for 1 car per Lodger as well as shared use of lounge, garden and spacious refurbished kitchen. You’ll have your own kitchen cupboard space as well as space in the fridge and freezer and use of dishwasher. When full we have a total of 3 Lodgers plus ourselves so plenty of room in this large house for us all.

We have had Lodgers throughout the pandemic and are extremely COVID-19 conscious. We provide hand-sanitiser all over the house and a thermometer (available at all times) and have guide-lines that we follow to help avoid contamination and help keep us all safe and of course would expect our new Lodger to take similar care too.

Just 8 minutes walk from Bodmin Town Centre, the house is surrounded by a large woodland garden, an on-going restoration project and (away from the house) we have bees. We re-use, recycle, compost and try to avoid the use of synthetic chemicals. Most of our cleaning products and toiletries are plant-based and/or chemical-free and most furnishings and furniture made from natural materials.

Sadly for us, Yew Room's current Lodger is returning home to be with her Mother who is on her own - definitely our loss!
