~~~~~
Due to our housemate moving out, we have a good-sized double room to rent in our 3-bed flat share.
Rent payable on a monthly-rolling basis, minimum 6-month tenancy and one-month notice must be given to move out.
The room is part-furnished and has a built-in wardrobe, but you will need a new bed as our housemate is moving hers out with her. There is a bathroom next door to the bedroom, which is only shared with one other housemate.
Rent inclusive of bills and council tax (Band F) is £785
We share all the bills equally, so this is subject to change slightly. However, we have just moved onto a new 12-month fixed-rate tariff, so it’s unlikely to change much, if at all, in the next year.
The Flat is on the private Packet Quays development, with the best view looking out over the water to Flushing. It’s a great spot where you can swim and paddleboard from right outside, we get the sunrise on the balcony each morning, it’s very close to town but tucked out of the way so it’s nice and quiet, lots of nice pubs very close etc. We currently use the garage and parking permit, so parking will mainly be on the main road - but if one of us is away then we leave the space / permit free.
We started sharing the flat a year ago, from buddying-up on spare room. We’re both quite busy so tend to come and go and do our own thing, we usually have a catch-up after work or over dinner, and hang out or go for a drink together or with friends from time to time. We’re both very social, but usually hang out with friends outside rather than having people over here a lot, which seems to work quite well. It’s a nice peaceful spot, so we probably keep the flat as a nice chilled place to come back to. We keep the shared spaces and kitchen very clean and tidy, but we’re not obsessive about it.
You would be sharing with Tom - 28, who teaches Photography at Falmouth University and Annabelle - 24, who has just finished her MA in Illustration. We’re both creative and active, Annabelle runs and goes to the gym and Tom swims in the sea most days.
We’re looking for someone who is really easy going, likes a chat, clean and tidy, comfortable hanging out and doing their own thing, all the usual stuff.
The only things we’re fussy about:
- The flat is well furnished and we have everything you could need in the kitchen (the kitchen is quite small) so ideally anything you move in will be contained to the room, but some kitchen stuff and anything you might like to add to make the communal space feel homely and shared is all good
- If you’re dating / have a partner, we’d ask that they generally only stay over once a week on average
- Tom is very allergic to nuts, so no nuts in the house
That's it!
