A lovely en-suite room will be available from 30th September in large, imposing Victorian house, located within a few minutes walking distance of Corkickle train station. Situated in a leafy conservation area, set back from the road, the house is next to a bus stop and approximately 8 minutes walk to shops, town and harbour. Located on desirable south side of the town, away from the town centre, it is ideal for commute to the hospital, West Lakes and Sellafield. .

The designer-decorated room has a king-size bed with smart tv, clothes storage and tea and coffee making equipment. The en-suite bathroom has sink, loo and large walk-in shower cubicle.. Although this room will not be available until 30th September, an alternative en-suite room of the same standard is available for temporary use between 18 September-30th September for prospective lodger needing an immediate move.

The house has good hi-speed broadband connection. Hot water is available 24/7. All bills included except share of council tax, if applicable, which is approx £25 per month.

The property is fitted with industry-standard fire alarm system with smoke and heat detectors in every room. Smoking is strictly prohibited although this is allowed in the garden.

Two male lodgers and female landlord will occasionally share use of kitchen, dining room/lounge and cosy lounge with log burner. Kitchen is equipped with fridge/freezer, double oven, washer/dryer and microwave with use of crockery, cutlery etc.. Prospective lodgers will be responsible for cleaning and tidying their own room and kitchen usage but all bed linen is provided and cleaning of shared areas is taken care of.

Live-in landlord has 2 very friendly small/medium-sized dogs and occasional VERY large ‘dog visitor’, who live on top floor with her but have access to all common areas of the house, so prospective lodgers must be dog-lovers and be very comfortable with dogs.

Preference will be given to those requiring Mon-Friday only accommodation. The rooms are let on a single-occupancy basis. No couples or children. Lodgers must be in full-time employment, working regular hours and not students, shift-workers or home-workers.

We do not have our own parking but local street parking is available.

IMPORTANT NOTE;
When replying, information is requested about yourself, working background and hours of work, etc. as well as approx requirement for length of stay. Preference will be given to those requiring 6months + rental.

Viewing essential. No remote reservations accepted. Due to holiday, viewings only available after 18th September.

A holding deposit, which is non-refundable if lodger does not take up short-term let, is required to reserve the room. Upon moving in, the deposit ‘is then held against possible damages to room or property and is fully refundable if room left in same condition at the end of the let.
