A bright, quiet double room is available in a spacious three-bed detached house on the edge of the Peak District, with trails and hills right on the doorstep and a direct 45-minute train into central Manchester. Rent is £600 per month, fully inclusive of all bills, council tax, high-speed Wi-Fi, and a regular cleaner for communal areas. The room currently has a king bed, but I am very happy to swap this out for a smaller bed and provide a desk if you work from home. Shared spaces include a comfortable living room, private garden, off-street parking, and a modern kitchen equipped with a dishwasher and tumble dryer.

​I’m an engineer who spends most of my free time outdoors trail running, climbing, and hiking. I’m a natural early riser and keep a steady weekday routine, so the house has a calm, low-key atmosphere that naturally winds down quietly around 10pm. It’s an ideal setup for an independent professional who appreciates their own space and rhythm rather than a high-energy flatshare. I’m always happy to catch up over coffee or share an occasional film, but I generally do my own thing and respect your privacy to do the same. If you value a peaceful home where housemates are naturally mindful of late-night noise, you’ll feel right at home.
